Wintergreen Oil
Wintergreen oil is extracted from the leaves of the plant. Natural material is first fermented, and it is then distilled to acquire pure oil. Methyl salicylate is the active ingredient in the oil thus obtained. It is closely related to aspirin and possesses analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. The oil is used as a topical pain reliever. There are limited transactions in the market for oil. Demand is weak, which has led to a substantial decline in production. Farmers are reluctant to distil the oil.
