Distillation has concluded, though oil produced is marked by low davanone content. This has negatively impacted demand from quality conscious buyers. Untimely and excessive winter rain has heavily impacted davana oil production this season. The unfavourable weather caused widespread nursery failures and significantly reduced yields. Market interest has weakened as buyers hesitate to pay premium prices for substandard material. This has resulted in softening of prices despite the limited supply.
