World Perfumery Congress 2018 June 18, 2018
An olfactory delight of natural essences, doused in generous amounts of creativity, and learnings seasoned by many new perspectives, these are few glimpses from the fragrance world’s unmissable global gathering– World Perfumery Congress 2018.
Ultra International BV and our Group of companies, PT Van Aroma, and Golden Groves Naturals, participated in the prestigious World Perfumery Congress 2018 held in Nice, Italy. We cannot wait to share some of the highlights of our experiences.
The World Perfumery Congress is highly esteemed as a unique international platform for connecting delegates from diverse industries- perfumers, evaluators, marketers, R&D professionals, distillers, purchasers, and academics. The three-day symposium was a window to showcase fragrance creativity, ingredients, and B2B transactions. Among the varied aspects, evolution, technological breakthroughs, and global challenges were the main topics of discourse.
The Ultra BV kiosk was aesthetically put-together and displayed our assortment of products. It was a demanding few days for our team. While some conducted private meetings at the Ultra stall, others were busy educating visitors about our products. It gave us immense pleasure when our space became the cynosure of all eyes, winning appreciation from industry doyens, perfumers, and students alike.
On June 5, Ultra and MCI Miritz co-hosted a party at the Royal Lounge at the Hotel Negresco, an iconic heritage property on the Promenade des Anglais. Invitees were enthralled by an astounding piece on the grand piano followed by the hit band Paris House Addicts. It was an evening of celebratory champagne and gourmet food, a befitting ode to this exceptional platform.
Not all the sessions were of the serious kind. The Ultra Perfumers’ Challenge was hugely popular. The fun and interactive event attracted many participants. After being invited to smell two variants of Lavender, Clarysage, and Lemon oils, they were asked to identify the genuine commercial grade oil. The winner was chosen by raffle on the last day. Dominique Moelhaussen, perfumer from the house of Moelhaussen won an I-pad as the first prize. Other contestants too, were delighted to receive gifts from Ultra.
With this, the curtains came down on another edition of the World Perfumery Congress, leaving all of us looking forward to the upcoming one in Miami.
